What we collect

When you place an order: your name, email address, delivery address, phone number, and order details.

Payment information: handled entirely by our payment providers. We never see or store your full card number.

When you browse: IP address, device and browser type, pages viewed, and how you arrived at our site. This is collected through cookies and similar technologies.

When you contact us: whatever you choose to tell us in your message.

If you subscribe: your email address.

Why we use it, and on what legal basis

  • To fulfil your order — necessary to perform our contract with you
  • To provide customer support — necessary to perform our contract with you
  • To prevent fraud and keep the site secure — our legitimate interests
  • To improve the site and understand how it is used — your consent, via cookies
  • To send marketing emails — your consent, which you can withdraw at any time
  • To advertise on other platforms — your consent, via cookies
  • To meet our legal and tax obligations — legal obligation

Who we share it with

We do not sell your personal data. We share it only with parties who help us run the business:

  • Shopify — our e-commerce platform
  • Payment providers — to process your payment
  • Shipping partners and couriers — to deliver your order
  • Email provider — to send order updates and newsletters
  • Analytics and advertising providers — including Meta and Microsoft, where you have consented

We may also disclose data where we are legally required to.

Transfers outside the UK

Some of our providers, and our own operations, are located outside the United Kingdom, including in the United States. Where your data is transferred outside the UK, we rely on the UK Government's adequacy regulations, the UK Addendum to the EU Standard Contractual Clauses, or an equivalent lawful transfer mechanism.

How long we keep it

  • Order records: 6 years, to meet tax and accounting requirements
  • Support emails: 2 years
  • Marketing subscriptions: until you unsubscribe
  • Analytics data: up to 14 months

Your rights

Under UK GDPR you have the right to:

  • Ask what data we hold about you, and get a copy
  • Have inaccurate data corrected
  • Have your data deleted, in certain circumstances
  • Restrict or object to how we use it
  • Receive your data in a portable format
  • Withdraw consent at any time, without affecting what we did before you withdrew it

To exercise any of these, email support@coventrywatch.com. We respond within one month and we do not charge for it.

Cookies

We use cookies that are strictly necessary for the site to function, and — with your consent — cookies for analytics and advertising. You can change your choice at any time through the cookie banner or your browser settings.

Marketing

We only email you marketing if you have asked us to, or if you have bought from us and we are offering similar products. Every email has an unsubscribe link, and it works immediately.

Children

Our store is not intended for anyone under 16, and we do not knowingly collect their data.

Complaints

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please tell us first — we would rather fix it. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner's Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.

Changes

If we change this policy we will update the date at the top. If the change is significant, we will tell you by email.
